Materials-

1. Worsted weight yarn

2. Cream and orange

3. Hook size 3.5mm (E)

4. 6mm Safety Eyes, or embroidered

5. Stitch Marker

6. PolyFill

7. Tapestry Needle

8. Scissors

9. Sewing Pins

Abbreviations-

1. Rd(s)- Round(s)

2. MR- Magic Ring

3. Sc- Single Crochet

4. St(s)- Slip Stitch(s)

5. Dc- Double Crochet

6. Tr- Triple Crochet

7. Inc- Increase

8. Dec- Invisible Decrease

9. In front loops only pick up the next two loops, yarn over and pull through twice.

10. FO- Fasten Off

11. FLO- Front Loop Only

Notes-

1. Magic Ring Alternative- chain and single crochet in the second chain from the hook.

2. This will be crocheted in the round.

3. If not specified or in () repeat to the end of the round.

4. Stuff as you go.

Body and Head-

Rd 1: 6 MR

Rd 2: inc (12)

Rd 3: sc, inc (18)

Rd 4-6: sc around (18) (3 rounds)

Rd 7: sc, dec (12) Insert eyes between rds 5 and 6.

Rd 8: dec (6) See picture for placement. 4 sts apart.

Rd 9-10: sc around (6)

Rd 11: inc, sc 2, 2 inc, sc (9)

Rd 12: sc, inc, sc 2, inc x 3, sc, inc (14)

Rd 13: sc, inc, sc 2, inc, sc 2, inc x 3, sc 2, inc, sc (20)

Rd 14: sc 10, inc x 4, sc (24)

Rd 15-17: sc around (24) (3 rounds)

Rd 18: sc, dec, sc (18)

Rd 19: sc, dec (12)

Rd 20: sc 2, dec 2, sc, dec 3 the last dec goes over the last st of the rd and the first of the next.

FO and loop through the FLO to close and close in a line lining up with the head and body.

Beak-

Rd 1: Sc 6 in MR

Rd 2: sc around FO leaving a tail for sewing. Sew over rd 7 and sew in ends.

Wings- (make 2)

Rd 1: 6 sc in MR

Rd 2: inc (12)

Rd 3: sc, inc (18)

Fold the wing in half and sc through both parts of the wing to close.

Sew around the wing to the body.

Feet- (make 2)

Ch 2 and in the 2 ch from the hook (dc, tr, dc).

FO, sew to the bottom of the body spread evenly over the middle of the body, and sew in the ends.
